The Chapel at West Parish was constructed in 1909 as part of a master plan to create a lavish garden cemetery from a small rural burial ground. The chapel, a gift from American Woolen Company President, William M. Wood, was designed in a Romanesque style typical of English and Scottish Kirks that dot the countryside throughout Great Britain.
The Chapel is a beautiful part of the West Parish Garden Cemetery, and may be rented for weddings, ceremonies, memorial services and other gatherings. The acoustics are some of the best in the New England area.
